Emily Shackelford is a director and choreographer, and currently serves as the Artistic Operations Manager at Music Theater Heritage in Kansas City, Missouri.

Recent directing credits at MTH include Little Women: The Musical (Director), Godspell (Director), Gypsy (Director), It’s a Wonderful Life: A Radio Play 2023 & 2024 (Director), Cats (Associate Director), The Secret Garden (Asst. Dir.), A Spectacular Christmas Show (Director/Choreographer), Porgy & Bess (Asst. Choreographer) Bubbles & Broadway 2023, 2024 & 2025 (Director of Entertainment). Other directing: Kate Hamill’s Little Women at Kansas City Actor's Theater (Asst. Dir.); and Cyrano de Bergerac at Kansas City Repertory Theater (Associate Director). Her work as an actor has brought her to The New Victory Theater (Off-Broadway), DC Arena Stage, Baltimore Center Stage, Syracuse Stage, The Kansas City Repertory Theater, Portland Center Stage, and many more.
